Is this a good quality carpet? Is it like the carpet my car / truck originally had?
molded carpets are manufactured using the highest grade automotive carpet roll goods available. Our General Motors molded carpet is officially licensed by the GM Restoration Parts program. In addition, Auto Custom Carpets uses exclusive color-fast dyes that resist sun fading. How well will this carpet fit my car? Each carpet is molded to an actual floor pan to ensure a great fit. Does the carpet include padding? Heel pad? Dimmer switch grommet? Heavy-weight jute padding is attached to the bottom of the carpet in the same places the factory originally did. Heel pads are dielectrically sealed in place. If appropriate, a dimmer switch grommet is included. Is this a one-piece or two-piece carpet set? It depends on the vehicle. Some vehicles originally had one-piece carpets installed; some had two-piece. Whatever is correct for your vehicle is what you will be sent.
Many colors are available, depending on which material your carpet is made from. Please see our color charts for 80/20 loop or Cut-Pile. 80/20 loop carpet was used in most pre-1974 cars; Cut-Pile carpet was used in most post-1973 cars. How long will it take to receive my carpet? Carpets are custom-made and ship directly from the manufacturer. It typically takes about 3-5 business days (after we receive payment) before your carpet ships. Once it ships, it will take an additional 1-4 business days to reach you via UPS, depending on where you live. Can I install the carpet set myself? If you have a free afternoon and the proper tools, you can install the carpet yourself. |
