Are these parts right for my restoration?
If original performance and appearance is
important to your restoration, then these
parts are the right choice. They look and fit
like the original parts your car came with
when new. The quality is outstanding - all
parts meet or exceed OE specs.
What is the difference between this set
and other / cheaper sets I see for sale?
Overall quality. The cheaper sets you see
typically consist of cheaply made parts from
overseas. You get what you pay for.
(The dead giveaway is the non-mention of
the brand name.) It is not uncommon for
overseas-made parts to consist of lower
quality steel with excessive tolerances, which
invariably lead to premature failure. Brand
name USA-made parts tend to have closer
tolerances and be made of higher strength
materials, which in addition to being safer
and providing superior performance, are just
a much better value in the long run.
I see cheaper sets advertised with a
lifetime guarantee on their parts. Doesn't
that mean they are good quality?
No. It is basically a marketing gimmick used
by some companies to get you to buy their
product. Ask yourself - where's the value in
that guarantee a few years from now when
you have to replace a cheaply-made part
that's failed? (You'll have to uninstall it, send
it back to the other company and wait for
them to send you another. Then you'll have
to install the replacement cheap part they
send back to you.) To us, this kind of
guarantee is a false value. We believe it's
better to do the job properly with the right
parts the first time around. That way you'll
have the peace of mind knowing you won't
have to do it again a second time.
